Russian troops have received a new Dragonfly drone that can search for and defuse mines with remote electronic detonation. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the technical director of the developer of this drone, JSC "Protection Group-YUTTA", Igor Stukalo.
The Dragonfly weighs 12 kilograms. A TNT block is attached to it. If, during its 50-minute flight, the drone finds mines with a non-linear junction detector, it displays them on the screen and then detonates them.
In addition to military purposes, the Dragonfly can also help with civilian purposes. The drone will find missing people under snowdrifts and in forests if they had any electronic devices with them.
The drone is also capable of monitoring the area and transmitting data about objects on the ground to its control point in real time. It can fly up to 15-20 kilometers from the operator.
