A high-speed hydrofoil vessel "Meteor 120P" will be launched from Nizhniy Novgorod on the Volga River. The press service of JSC "State Transport Leasing Company" reports about it.
"Meteor 120P" with a high degree of localization was designed by Nizhny Novgorod CDB on SPK named after R.E. Alexeyev in conjunction with NPP "Radar mms". Unlike its Soviet "ancestor" called "Meteor", it makes almost no noise and vibrations. The vessel reaches speeds of up to 75 km/h, capable of carrying 120 people for a distance of up to 700 km.
Inside the ship is a comfortable cabin with air conditioning and multimedia systems, a cafe bar in the stern part. For the convenience of the crew and the safety of navigation, an integrated bridge system with elements of artificial intelligence has been applied.

It is known that several copies of "Meteor 120P", which have already started to run in KHMAO, were equipped with German MAN engines with a capacity of 1450 hp. However, the manufacturers planned to replace it with domestic developments.
