It is noted that it can withstand six hits from a bullet fired from a Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD).

According to a representative of Filin, the design is a solid ceramic plate. Thanks to this, it has become anatomical and has two bends: around the body and along the chest. It is known that the new plate is simpler and easier to manufacture, since less glue is required to hold the structure of the armor package.

Filin recalled that GOST provides for ensuring protection with body armor in the event of five hits from an SVD. Their development withstood six hits and did not crumble. The ceramic plate is currently undergoing the necessary tests and is being finalized.

Earlier, Rostec tested the Russian Obereg body armor, firing 8.6 × 70 mm Lapua Magnum bullets into it. The result amazed the specialists.
