An engineering and design bureau has been launched in the Ramensky urban district of the Moscow region for the development, design and production of industrial equipment for recycling secondary plastic.
The project, which will be fully operational in the next five years, is being undertaken by the scientific and production company "POF".
According to the press service of the Moscow Region Development Corporation (MRDC), "POF" already has experience in working with plastic granules using its own technology. At the same time, the equipment necessary for the implementation of its processing technology – reactors, mixers, crystallizers, shredders, crushers – was developed by the company independently. And the design bureau was deployed on the basis of the existing production.
The new large-scale project will require investments of more than 1 billion rubles. The MRDC has agreed to assist in its implementation.
It is noted that the production of equipment for plastic recycling has already been launched. The first orders are coming from Russia, but in the future, "POF" may enter foreign markets.
Currently, the company employs 35 people. In 2026, new plastic recycling lines will be launched, and then 65 more people will be employed. It is expected that by this time the plant will reach its design capacity of 1000 tons of products per month.
