Smart Fields of "Agriculture": the Latest Remote Mining System Transferred to Russian Troops

All dormant mines of "Agriculture" can self-destruct or be deactivated by a timer at a set time if necessary

The Rostec State Corporation has delivered new engineering systems for remote mining "Agriculture" to the Russian troops ahead of schedule. It creates "smart" minefields, each of which is several football fields in size.

The "Agriculture" system automatically registers the coordinates of the mines falling and transmits the data on an electronic map to the command post. The mines that fall to the ground do not explode immediately, but dig deep and come into combat position. The detonation of each of them can be controlled remotely.

"Agriculture" can install "intelligent" minefields at high speed, even in hard-to-reach areas. At the same time, the ability of explosive devices to deactivate or self-destruct at a specified time ensures safe and rapid demining after the cessation of hostilities. Importantly, "Agriculture" increases the combat capabilities of units in solving mining tasks, while complying with all international agreements on the prohibition or restriction of the use of mines, booby traps and other devices.

The "Agriculture" includes a combat vehicle based on KamAZ, a transport-charging vehicle and transport-launch containers with solid-propellant rockets, which contain mines of various types. One ammunition set includes two packages of 25 rockets each. All calculations for firing and input of flight mission data are performed automatically, as are the volleys themselves at coordinates at a range of 5 to 15 km.

This is not the only replenishment for Russian troops in recent days. Prior to that, the state corporation began transferring its new 120-mm self-propelled artillery guns "Phlox".

It is also known that Uralvagonzavod sent new T-90M "Breakthrough" and T-72B3M with additional protection on a universal platform. And Rosoboronexport transferred reinforced "Tiger-M" armored vehicles to the military.
