Internal tests of the new high-speed "Tubus" drone have been completed in Russia. TASS reports on the new development and its capabilities, citing its sources in the defense industry.
The manufacturer of "Tubus" remains unknown. But its characteristics are impressive.
The new drone is twice as fast as other Russian counterparts. It reaches speeds of up to 250-300 km/h and can hit targets in the form of artillery and armored vehicles up to 30-40 km from the launch site.
At the same time, due to its speed, it is hardly vulnerable to small arms and invulnerable to electronic warfare equipment, because it is not connected to satellites. "Tubus" has its own target guidance program based on coordinates.
With all its capabilities, the new Russian drone is very mobile: it weighs 10 kilograms, and the launcher for it weighs another 5 kilograms.
