Russian neonatal respiratory support device Reanimon registered with Roszdravnadzor

The device has a built-in pulse oximeter, cardiopulmonary resuscitation metronome, and Apgar timer for assessing the condition of infants

The Schwabe Holding has registered a new neonatal respiratory support device for newborns, Reanimon, developed by specialists from the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E.S. Yalamov (UOMZ), with Roszdravnadzor. The launch of Reanimon on the mass market is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

Reanimon is designed to work in intensive care units and intensive care units in maternity hospitals and perinatal centers in Russia.

According to the Schwabe press service, the new product, which was presented at the Sochi Biotechmed forum, has a wide range of applications. It can be used both for non-invasive respiratory therapy and for ventilation of the lungs in newborns.

Reanimon has eight modes, including the possibility of short-term invasive and non-invasive ventilation through a T-shaped connector, which reduces the risk of developing chronic lung diseases by maintaining constant pressure in the airways.

To assess the condition of the newborn, the device has a built-in pulse oximeter, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation metronome, and an Apgar timer.

Earlier, the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E.S. Yalamov (UOMZ) presented another development for saving the lives of infants: the domestic mobile incubator for transporting newborns «BONNY».
