The holding "Schwabe" registered in the Russian Health Ministry a new neonatal respiratory support machine for newborns, Reanimon, developed by specialists of the Yalamov Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ). The release for the mass market of Reanimon is planned for the first quarter of 2023.
According to the press service of 'Schwabe', the new product, which was presented at the sidelines of the Sochi 'Biotechmed' forum, has a wide range of actions. It can be used both for non-invasive respiratory therapy and for lung ventilation in newborns.
Reanimon has eight modes, including the ability to carry out short-term invasive and non-invasive ventilation through a T-connector, which reduces the risk of developing chronic lung diseases by maintaining constant pressure in the respiratory tract.
To assess the state of the newborn, the device incorporates a pulse oximeter, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation metronome, and an Apgar timer.
Earlier, the Yalamov Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ) presented another development to save the lives of infants: a domestic mobile incubator for transporting newborns "BONNY".
