Storage systems, servers and computers on Chinese Loongson processors will appear in Russia. The first company to decide to integrate Chinese solutions into its products was the Russian company "Norsi-Trans".
As reported by "Kommersant" referring to the general director of "Norsi-Trans" Sergey Ovchinnikov, the partner of "Norsi-Trans" in this initiative will be "Basalt SPO". The developer of the OS "Alt", part of the register of domestic software, adapts it under Loongson. Their example can be followed by other companies.
Loongson, working on the architecture of Chinese development LoongArch, are used at home in the military-industrial complex, in satellites and in a number of commercial product solutions.
At the end of 2022, Chinese authorities banned the export of these processors to all foreign countries, including Russia, in order to avoid technology theft. Now, however, Loongson products may return to Russia, according to market participants, due to sanctions from the USA.
There are no fears of competition in the Russian market yet. However, domestic processor developers note that Russia should strive for "mirror access" to the market and technologies from China.
