At Penza State University, students have developed corrosion-resistant pipes. According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science, they have already aroused the interest of representatives of domestic chemical and oil and gas industry and will be tested in practice in the near future.
The pipes are very simple to manufacture, they consist of layered metallic materials with an internal protector.
One such protector becomes 6 times more resistant to corrosion than a solid sheet of stainless steel. Two layers make the pipe already 23 times stronger.
