Russian concern «AvtoVAZ» is preparing for the premiere of Lada Vesta Sportline, car tests with the participation of media employees started at the «Grozny Fortress» racetrack in the capital of the Chechen Republic. According to unofficial information, the Lada Vesta Sportline will have a 1.6-liter engine with a power of up to 120 hp, as well as a five-speed manual transmission.
According to AVTOVAZ, car sales will start by the end of autumn 2023. The company promises to announce the cost, as well as the technical specifications and configuration of Lada Vesta Sportline closer to the start of sales.
The world-class racetrack «Grozny Fortress» opened in Chechnya in 2015. Its area is about 60 hectares, it hosts an exhibition complex, tuning boxes, stands for spectators, a gas station and other infrastructure.
Previously, motorists were offered to purchase Lada at factory prices with a discount.
