JSC "Minsk Automobile Plant" (the management company of the holding "BelavtoMAZ") is resuming the production of MAZ-216 buses. The bus is designed for use in cities with heavy passenger traffic and is the "successor" to the MAZ-215.
It is noted that the MAZ-216 received units of Chinese-Belarusian production (Weichai + Fast Gear). In addition, the bus is equipped with a new articulation unit. The first batch of MAZ-216, which is being assembled for St. Petersburg, is already in production.
The Belarusian bus is low-floor, and the developers have completely updated its design. A photo of the MAZ-2016 after restyling was presented by the Telegram channel "Buses of Belarus".
