AGR Automotive Group, which now owns Volkswagen's vacated assets after its departure from Russia, will launch the Kaluga plant that belonged to this foreign company. This was reported by auto expert Sergei Tsyganov in his Telegram channel "Russian Automobile."
According to him, AGR has concluded an agreement for a very small batch of cars. We are talking about the screwdriver assembly of 120 Chinese Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max. This means that parts of the crossover will simply be brought to Russia and connected at the factory like a construction set.
Since the signing of the agreement was delayed, the first cars of the Kaluga assembly will appear only at the end of December.
Tsyganov believes that the extension of AGR's cooperation with Chery in this part is unlikely and almost zero.
Sales of Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max in Russia were announced in July of this year, but the price of the car was not published for a long time. Now it is already known and starts from 2.6 million rubles.
