The volume of cargo transportation that will be carried out by unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in 2024 will amount to 1.28 thousand tons. The corresponding information is indicated in the materials for the draft federal budget for 2024-2026.
We are talking about transportation using UAS in Chukotka, Kamchatka, KhMAO and YaNAO. It is indicated that UAS will reduce the cost of cargo transportation below the cost of air transportation. In addition, UAS will increase the delivery speed of Russian Post shipments by 30%. This is stated in the passport of the state program "Development of the transport system".
Russian authorities expect an improvement in all indicators of UAS operation, including a reduction in the cost of their operation. It is noted that business will be more active in the unmanned aircraft systems industry.
