It is noted that scientists have restored the functional networks of the brain of healthy people and patients with depression. The technique, named the "consensus approach", revealed differences in the results of functional MRI in two groups of people.

It is known that 3.8% of the world's population are prone to depressive disorder. Diagnosing the disease is complicated by the fact that there are currently no precise tests confirming depression in a patient. Psychiatrists make a corresponding diagnosis after talking with him.

The development of Russian scientists allows with a high degree of accuracy to determine depression. In the near future, BFU specialists plan to create a system for automatic recognition of depression using MRI.
