Specialists of JSC "Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies" (KRET), which is part of the Rostec State Corporation, have manufactured prototypes of the "Mobivent" ventilator. It is expected that the new product will accelerate the import substitution of ventilators in medical institutions of the country.
"Mobivent" received a swivel display, a new graphical interface and an advanced element base. The development is carried out by employees of the Ural Instrument-Making Plant (UPZ), which is part of KRET, as well as a team of resuscitation doctors.
According to Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec, "Mobivent" will help to abandon the purchase of foreign devices to ensure the respiratory function of patients. The creation of Russian devices of this class is "a matter of technological sovereignty and national security," he stressed.
Currently, KRET specialists are entering the testing stage of "Mobivent". According to Rostec, the start of mass production of the device is scheduled for the end of 2024. The device will appear on the market in 2025, the corporation believes.
Rostec clarified that the "Mobivent" line will include five ventilators with different technical characteristics. It is also planned to develop equipment for remote data collection from these devices.
Earlier in June, another Rostec enterprise, the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E.S. Yalamov, also presented a ventilator called "AIVL-D". This portable device weighing only 4 kg is suitable for use not only in medical institutions, but also during the transportation of patients or at home.
