At the international exhibition "Neva-2023", which started today in St. Petersburg, the corporation "AK Bars" presented a model of an innovative excursion boat. Its feature is a power plant operating on hydrogen fuel cells. This vessel is designed to carry both passengers and tourist groups along inland waterways and can accommodate up to 10 people.
Renat Mistakhov, CEO of the corporation, previously announced that "AK Bars" plans to complete the construction of the first hydrogen-powered passenger vessel by the end of this year. This project was made possible by an agreement signed between the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky and the Krylov State Scientific Center in September 2022. Construction began in February 2023.
The design of the excursion boat is based on project 00393, developed by the Central Design Bureau "Baltsudoproekt", which is part of the Krylov State Scientific Center. The new vessel has the following characteristics:
- Overall length - about 15.4 meters
- Overall width - about 3.3 meters
- Draft - approximately 0.54 meters
- Maximum speed on calm water reaches 12 km/h
- Trip duration - up to 5 hours
- Passenger capacity - 10 people
- Crew - 2 people.
As previously reported, the price of such a vessel is 634 million rubles.
