At the very end of August, the first test flight of the domestic import-substituted SJ-100 airliner took place, and yesterday the aircraft was tested in the air again – it climbed to twice the altitude: 6 km versus 3 km.
And again, news from Komsomolsk-on-Amur: the second flight of the SJ-100 under the factory refinement test program has just been completed there. The second was longer than the first, it lasted 75 minutes and took place at altitudes of up to 6000 meters.
The plane was piloted by a crew consisting of commander Leonid Chikunov, second pilot Sergey Zavalkin, and flight engineer Denis Velizhanin.
During the flight, the crew retracted the landing gear, checked the operation of the air conditioning and automatic pressure regulation systems in the cabin, as well as the operation of the anti-icing system of the engine air intakes and the functioning of the fuel system in the cross-feed mode with the pumps turned on and off. During landing, the automatic braking system with air brakes was tested.
