Iran receives Russian Yak-130 training combat aircraft

The Iranian state agency IRNA reported that Russian training combat aircraft Yak-130 were delivered to the Islamic Republic. The number of them is not reported, but it is noted that Yak-130 has already been put into the country's Air Force armament and will be used to train new pilots, who will fly on new generation fighters - like Su-57.

In the photo published by IRNA, there is Yak-130 in the livery of Iranian Air Force with the onboard number 7-9701. According to the resource menadefense.net, the first Yak-130 were delivered by transport plane, they made their test flights on September 1 from the airbase in Isfahan.

Yak-130 will allow Iranian pilots to go through preparation by managing fighters of the 4+ and 5 generations. That is, with the help of Yak-130 they can prepare for the flights on Su-57. The Russian training aircraft can carry three tons of ammunition, perform light assault, and reconnaissance tasks.
