The Ministry of Digital Development has introduced a new "Goskan" function in the "Gosuslugi" application, which allows you to quickly and conveniently check the characteristics of goods directly in the store. By scanning a special sign on the package, buyers can get information about the expiration date, manufacturer, weight, and even see a photo of the product for visual comparison.
The new function is based on the national product labeling system "Chestny Znak", which has been operating in Russia since 2019. A special graphic symbol on the package, similar to a QR code, contains key data about the product and information about certification.
In order to try out the "Goskan" function, you need to open the "Gosuslugi" application and find the "Goskan" section in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it and allow access to the camera for scanning. Next, find the "Chestny Znak" code on the product packaging and scan it.
The scanning result may be as follows:
- Green status — everything is in order.
- Gray status — the product has already been sold. If the product has not yet been purchased, you can report a violation in the "Chestny Znak" application.
- Red status — the product has not passed the authenticity check or other violations have been identified.
The application allows you to check a wide range of products, including medicines, food, clothing, equipment, perfumes, tires and tubes, and many others. Alcoholic beverages will soon be added to this list. If there is no special marking on a product from the list, buyers can pay attention to this and report the violation through the "Chestny Znak" application.
To use the "Goskan" function, it is recommended to update the "Gosuslugi" application to the latest version. The "Gosuslugi" application itself can be downloaded from Rustore, Google Play, App Store and AppGallery.
