Kaspersky Lab helped Interpol arrest 14 cybercriminals

The Russian company provided Interpol with data that allowed investigators to discover the compromised infrastructure and apprehend the criminals

Kaspersky Lab announced its participation in the Interpol operation to catch criminals in 25 African countries – this operation began in April 2023 and lasted four months.

Kaspersky Lab assisted Interpol in combating cybercrime in 25 African countries, as a result of which 14 people were arrested and a network infrastructure was identified that led to financial losses of $40 million.

The Russian company provided Interpol with indicators of compromise (IoC), including information about malicious servers, phishing links and domains, as well as fraudulent IP addresses.

Kaspersky Lab assisted Interpol by providing it with threat data during the operation Africa Cyber Surge II. This allowed investigators to discover the compromised infrastructure and apprehend the perpetrators suspected of committing cybercrimes in Africa.
