Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak told TASS in an interview about how Russia intends to strengthen the technological sovereignty of domestic unmanned aviation. First of all, the production of civilian drones will be increased for this purpose.
In subsequent years, production will only grow, meeting the needs of various sectors of the economy and simultaneously strengthening the technological sovereignty of domestic unmanned aviation. This will happen by reducing the import of UAS and their components. In 2024, the production of civilian drones should approach 18 thousand units and will continue to increase in the future, reaching more than 30 thousand units in 2030.
Recall that this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 6,000 civilian drones will be produced in the country. UAVs, by the way, were included in one of the Russian megaprojects approved by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. The estimated demand for unmanned aerial vehicles until 2030 is almost 1 trillion rubles.
