VK announced today the upcoming change of jurisdiction: VK Company Limited will re-register its legal entity from the British Virgin Islands to Russia – in a special administrative region on Oktyabrsky Island in the Kaliningrad Region.
VK Company Limited announces the adoption of decisions by shareholders and the board of directors of VK on re-domiciliation - termination of the company's activities in the British Virgin Islands and its continuation in the Russian Federation as an international public joint-stock company in accordance with Russian law.
It is reported that the members of the board of directors of ICJSC "VK" (the new company after re-registration) will remain the current members of the board of directors of VK Company Limited. Decisions were also made to delist the company's global depositary receipts and Eurobonds from the London Stock Exchange and to conduct an initial listing of the Company's shares on the Moscow Exchange.
It became known in February of this year that VK might change its jurisdiction. At that time, the VK board of directors approved the potential re-registration of the holding, provided that the legislation was complied with.
