As reported by RIA "News" agency referring to the analytical agency TelecomDaily, Microsoft has notified its Russian corporate clients that it will stop renewing licenses from September 30th this year.
Microsoft Corporation can no longer accept bank transfers to a local bank account as a method of paying for Microsoft services in Russia.
In an official comment to Forbes, a representative of Microsoft said that the company "is suspending the launch of new products, the sale of services, and many other aspects of its activity in Russia in accordance with sanctions from the European Union, United Kingdom, and the United States."
In March 2022, Microsoft announced a temporary cessation of sales of its services and products in Russia, but in the spring of this year, Russian representations of international companies and legal entities, who were not affected by sanctions, started receiving written and oral offers from Microsoft to extend the licenses for the corporate software.
