"Rosatom" will help Morocco to desalinate water. The Russian company has extensive experience in the construction of desalination plants combined with NPPs

At the Russia-Africa summit, a memorandum was signed between the Russian and Moroccan sides

"Rosatom" will be implementing a number of projects in the fields of desalination, water preparation and treatment in Morocco. A corresponding memorandum has been signed between the Moroccan Water and Energy Solutions and the Rosatom company, "Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions".

The signed memorandum expands cooperation with Morocco in the field of desalination and water preparation and provides for the possibility of implementing joint projects using Rosatom technologies, aimed at providing the industry and the population of the region with clean water.

First Deputy Director General - Director of the Development and International Business Block of Rosatom Kirill Komarov

"Rosatom" has extensive experience in creating desalination plants for both industry and the population. For example, in Kazakhstan, the state corporation's enterprise built a desalination complex combined with a nuclear power station, and now a desalination complex is being built with the Akkuyu nuclear power station in Turkey. The construction of desalination plants combined with nuclear power plants is part of Rosatom's integrated offer to potential customers.

Trust is one of the key values in a rapidly changing world, and the signing of the memorandum clearly illustrates this. The Russian Federation keeps its word and demonstrates readiness to lend a hand, to share its know-how with our countries.
