"Rosatom" to help Morocco desalinate water. The Russian company has extensive experience in building desalination plants combined with nuclear power plants

A memorandum was signed between the Russian and Moroccan sides at the Russia-Africa summit

"Rosatom" will implement a number of projects in Morocco in the field of desalination, water treatment and water purification. The corresponding memorandum was signed between the Moroccan Water and Energy Solutions and "Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions", which is part of "Rosatom".

The signed memorandum expands cooperation with Morocco in the field of desalination and water treatment and provides for the possibility of implementing joint projects using Rosatom technologies aimed at providing industry and the population of the region with clean water.
Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General – Director of the Development and International Business Block of Rosatom

"Rosatom" has extensive experience in creating water desalination plants for both industry and the population. For example, in Kazakhstan, the state corporation's enterprise built a desalination complex combined with a nuclear power plant, and now a desalination complex is being built together with the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. The construction of desalination plants combined with nuclear power plants is part of Rosatom's integrated offer for potential customers.

Trust is one of the key values in a rapidly changing world, and the signing of the memorandum clearly illustrates this. The Russian Federation keeps its word and demonstrates its willingness to lend a hand, to share its know-how with our countries.
Mohammed Amin Cherkaoui, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Water and Energy Solutions
