Yandex has announced the introduction of a hybrid model of audio track moderation. They will initially be checked using a machine learning system, and then manually.

The new system will be used to identify content on sensitive topics, which may cause discomfort to listeners. Depending on the nature of the content, it may be marked with special signs indicating age restrictions, excluded from the recommendations or removed from the service, Yandex explained.

Rights holders, whose content is considered to violate the rules, will be able to challenge the decision. They will also be able to make changes to their tracks and re-upload them to Yandex Music. Interestingly, the platform plans to publicly report on measures taken to create a comfortable environment for users.
