Another car factory in Russia to resume operations on July 17. Previously, it assembled Mazda, now – a Chinese pickup truck

The lineup will be expanded later

Sollers has announced that its plant in Vladivostok will resume operations on July 17. On this day, pilot production of pickups under the Sollers brand will start.

«The Sollers car factory in Vladivostok will resume operations on July 17 and will start producing pilot batches of a new line of pickups, which will be sold on the Russian market under the Sollers brand», Sollers said and added that mass production of cars will be launched in early September, and later the car lineup will be expanded. «Negotiations on this matter are actively underway with potential Chinese partners», Sollers said.

The company itself does not say which model will be the first to be launched into production, but there is a lot of evidence that it will be the JAC T6 pickup. The dimensions of this car are 5315 x 1830 x 1815 mm, the wheelbase is 3090 mm. The JAC T6 is equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 136 hp, which works in conjunction with a 6-speed manual transmission.
