Today, official sales of BAIC cars have started in Russia. The U5 Plus sedan and the BAIC X35 crossover are available at dealerships. Interestingly, the cost of both is 1.7 million rubles.
But the next model will be much more expensive - the BAIC BJ40 frame SUV will cost 3.76 million rubles. It will go on sale a little later, but also in July.
The sedan received a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 113 hp, working in tandem with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The crossover is equipped with 1.5-liter engines: naturally aspirated with a capacity of 116 hp and turbocharged with a capacity of 150 hp. The first is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, the second with a CVT. The drive is only front-wheel drive.
All three models are produced at the Kaliningrad Avtotor, and before the end of the year, production of the BAIC X55 and X7 crossovers, the full-size BAIC BJ60 frame SUV and an electric car based on the U5 Plus sedan will also be launched.
