In Crimea, running tests of the electric "Loaf" - UAZ-452 have begun. Outwardly, it is no different from the petrol version, and even inferior in terms of characteristics. For example, the range is only 180 km. But there are a minimum of foreign parts here.
"The main components are the electric motor and battery. We take the electric motor from Voronezh production and rewind it for the necessary currents, the battery consists of lithium cells, we take them at the "Energy" plant in Lipetsk. We manufacture the battery cases ourselves, the battery management unit is a company from Moscow "Skolkovo"", - said the managing partner of NPP "Elkafa" (electric vehicle developer) Mikhail Demuryah.
Up to 60 km/h, the electric "Loaf" accelerates in 12 s, the maximum speed is 80 km/h. The creators say that the carrying capacity is the same as that of the gasoline model. The car is planned to be certified for public roads.
From a 380 V power grid, the traction battery of the electric "Loaf" will be charged in 4 hours, from a 220 V grid - in 12 hours. Even a retail price has already been named - from 2.9 million rubles. For an old UAZ-452 this is a lot, but the creators point to the low cost of one kilometer of mileage - only 1.1 rubles.
