The Investment-Industrial Holding GS Group announced the imminent launch of the production of smartphones, tablet computers, and laptops.
The production will start at the Technopolis GS innovative cluster in the Kaliningrad region as early as in 2023. Investments in development, sample creation, licensed software, and production upgrade will amount to about 3.5 billion rubles. The production capacity is planned at the level of 30 thousand devices per month.
GS Group will operate under the ODM model - that is, devices will be produced under the brands of customers with possible customization. In fact, GS Group will become a contract manufacturer. The first samples of laptops, tablets, and smartphones are promised to be presented at the Innoprom exhibition already in July.
