The GS Group investment and industrial holding has announced the upcoming launch of the production of smartphones, tablet computers and laptops.
Production will start at the facilities of the Technopolis GS innovation cluster in the Kaliningrad region as early as 2023. Investments in development, creation of prototypes, licensed software and retrofitting of production will amount to about 3.5 billion rubles. Production capacity is planned at the level of 30 thousand devices per month.
GS Group will operate according to the ODM model – that is, devices will be produced under the brands of customers with possible customization. In fact, GS Group will become a contract manufacturer. The first samples of laptops, tablets and smartphones are promised to be shown at the Innoprom exhibition in July.
