Rostec-affiliated United Engine Corporation (UEC) has delivered four GTU-16P gas turbine units to the Zapolyarnoe oil and gas condensate field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. Each one of them is built on the base of the PS-90A aviation engine generator and has a capacity of 16 MW.
"The delivery of modern domestic industrial equipment makes a serious contribution to solving an important state task – ensuring the stable operation of the gas transport system. Today, our UEC holding specialists have dispatched four units for the second stage of the Zapolyarnoe oil and gas condensate field compression station operated by Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg. The units are reliable in operation and designed to work in harsh natural and climatic conditions. With the new shipment, the GTU-16P units park in the Zapolyarnoe field will total 28 units", commented Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy CEO of Rostec State Corporation on this event.
"The United Engine Corporation not only produces highly efficient gas turbine units, but also provides high-quality service and maintenance throughout their lifecycle. By June 1, 2023, a total of 404 GTU-16P gas turbine units have been delivered to customers, their total operating time has reached 13 million hours", noted Andrey Vorobyov, CEO of UEC Engineering LLC.
