Bryansk-based company BN-Motors is setting up production of light commercial trucks under the BNM brand – they are designed for a payload of 1-1.5 tons and, thus, act as an alternative to the GAZelle. The development, of course, is not independent, the first BNM is a rebranded BAW T7. Later, they promise to expand the range – to launch the production of pickups, minivans, SUVs and, possibly, electric vehicles.
The trucks in question will be available with both single and double row cabs. They will receive a 2.0-liter 112 hp engine running on methane and a 5-speed gearbox. Later, by the end of the year, a heavier version will appear – with a payload of up to 3 tons. By 2024-2025, BN-Motors expects to reach an assembly volume of 12-24 thousand cars per year.
