General Designer of the enterprise Vsevolod Eliseev "ODK-Klimov" (part of the United Engine Corporation "Rostec") said in an interview with TASS that serial production of TV7-117St-01 engines for the newest Russian aircraft Il-114-300 will begin next year.
«Two engines are already "on the wing", the remaining engines are being finalized after the first stage of testing. A pre-production run for three aircraft is also planned. In 2024, starting from the first quarter, we plan to supply at least six more engines in serial form to support the Il-114-300 program», - said Vsevolod Eliseev. He also said that the Il-114-300 is currently preparing for flight and certification tests, in which three aircraft will participate.
The Il-114-300 should replace the retiring An-24. Work on the deeply modernized Il-114-300 was opened in 2015, with plans to supply up to 100 aircraft by 20230.
