As the newspaper «Vedomosti» reports, «Tinkoff Bank» registered its own university. The company is listed in the registry as «Autonomous Non-Profit Higher Education Organization «Central University».
The rector of the university is Evgeny Vasilyevich Ivashkevich, who is also a member of the board of directors of «Tinkoff Insurance» and a member of the collegiate executive body of «Tinkoff Bank». «Vedomosti» also refer to two sources close to the bank – they confirm the work on the creation of their own university.
«Tinkoff Bank» has long been working with students and schoolchildren as part of «Tinkoff Education» on the basis of an official educational license. «We are currently considering the possibility of using the accumulated technological and IT expertise as part of the launch of the STEM university educational model in Russia. The details of the project will be announced later, in the summer», – added a representative of «Tinkoff Bank».
We remind you that in 2012, «Sberbank» also launched the corporate «Sber University», but its license, obtained in 2014, allowed only to carry out additional professional education programs. But in the case with «Tinkoff» we are talking not about educational services, but about a full-fledged higher educational institution.
