The General Director of ANO «Internet Encyclopedia Ruwiki» Vladimir Medeyko announced the upcoming launch of the «Free Encyclopedia Ruwiki».
«We are planning to launch the "Free Encyclopedia" project on Russian servers as early as June. Initially, it will be formed on the basis of articles from the Russian-language "Wikipedia" - we take almost 2 million articles, copy them to our servers and are now finalizing them in accordance with our requirements. The principles of our project are primarily related to reliability - we want our articles to be reliable, so that students can refer to them in their work, and this does not raise questions from teachers,» he said.
Data in the Russian analogue of «Wikipedia» will be verified in various ways. «We have an editorial office where people sit and monitor information around the clock. Depending on the complexity of the topic, they deal with it on their own, or a more complex procedure takes place. Experts, scientific communities and institutes will participate in this, we will organize public discussions. We are generally open to cooperation with all participants in the field of knowledge,» he added.
