The Schwabe holding (part of Rostec) in collaboration with specialists from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University has developed the first HIFU therapy device in Russia. The DIATER-M complex allows diagnosing and removing neoplasms without surgery.
HIFU therapy uses focused high-intensity ultrasound waves. This is one of the safest ways to fight cancer. The use of "DIATER-M" does not require anesthesia, while the device is highly accurate. "DIATER-M" has already been registered by Roszdravnadzor, and serial production of the complex will begin in early 2024.
