On May 9, the US Department of Defense announced that Ukraine shot down a Russian hypersonic missile 'Kinjal' with the help of American anti-aircraft missile system 'Patriot'. A high-ranking source in the Russian Ministry of Defense has now commented on this data: he told TASS that this is impossible.

"The injection that the 'Kinjal' was allegedly intercepted is an attempt to pass off the desired for the actual", – said the source from the Ministry of Defense. He noted that the speed of the 'Kinjal' exceeds the limit combat modes of the Patriot, but that's not all.
