Major dealer "Avilon" has been allowed to buy the Russian Volkswagen plant, where rumors say Chery and Exeed cars will be produced. Chery partially confirmed these rumors. The President of Chery International, Zhang Guibin reported that the company is exploring production sites with the aim of choosing the best solution for localization in Russia. And what could be better than a large and modern plant built by Volkswagen?

At the same time, the head of Chery International noted that the company is considering different options: it could be either the company's own enterprise or a plant on partnership terms. The latter situation describes the case with "Avilon".

According to the analytical agency "AvtoSTAT", in the first quarter of this year, 20,388 Chery cars were sold in Russia - 2.7 times more than in the first quarter of 2022. Such a significant increase in sales has brought Chery into the leaders among all foreign car manufacturers presented in Russia.
