In Russia, 11 airports have been closed since February 2022 due to the ongoing SMO, and judging by the Eurocontrol statement, they will not reopen for at least 6 years.
«Restrictions in the airspace of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Moldova will remain in place until the end of 2029», the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation said.
As a reminder, the list of cities where flights are temporarily suspended includes Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista.
