After all the troubles of last year, AvtoVAZ has finally launched mass production of the VAZ-21127 16-valve engine, which, strictly speaking, is by no means a miracle of engineering. With a volume of 1.6 liters, it produces only 106 hp - the 8-valve engine is not much weaker (it has 90 hp).
«Lada Granta, equipped with a 16-valve engine, is the choice of customers who prefer a dynamic driving style. The high elasticity of the engine is provided by an intake module with variable volume: special flaps change its configuration depending on the engine speed», — said in a press release by AvtoVAZ.
Initially, the VAZ-21127 will be registered under the hood of Granta, later it will be installed on Lada Vesta.
