General Director of the Mikron plant, Gulnara Khasyanova, at the Svyaz-2023 forum, announced that the company had managed to find a replacement for materials for new-style foreign passports.

To the corresponding question, she answered: "Of course, everything will be fine." And then added: "There are Russian manufacturers, we are actively working with them, [although] not everything works out the first time."

As a reminder, the issuance of new-style foreign passports was temporarily suspended in February of this year due to a shortage of microchips that are integrated into the foreign passport form. At that time, Goznak reported that Mikron needed to reconfigure the equipment in order to meet the increased demand for chips in the future.
