New electronic warfare systems "Kalinka" and "Volna Kupol Garant" have gained the ability to counteract Starlink satellite communication systems. The technologies use directional suppression of radio channels and can reduce the effectiveness of satellite internet terminals.

One of the most well-known Russian projects is the "Kalinka" electronic warfare system, dubbed the "Starlink killer" abroad. According to available data, the complex was created to influence satellite communication channels and analyze the operation of modern orbital networks.

Specialized "Volna Kupol Garant" complexes are also being deployed in Russia. These systems are designed to generate directional interference in specific frequency ranges used by satellite data transmission channels.

The peculiarity of this approach is that it is not about the physical destruction of satellites, but about reducing the effectiveness of ground equipment. Electronic warfare allows for the creation of local zones where satellite communication terminals may lose connection stability.

The development of such technologies is associated with the growing role of low-Earth orbit satellite constellations. Systems like Starlink use thousands of spacecraft in orbit and provide data transmission through an extensive infrastructure, so direct impact on individual satellites is not the most effective way to counter them.

Russian electronic warfare complexes rely on a different principle – searching for vulnerabilities in communication channels, suppressing individual frequency ranges, and disrupting data exchange between terminals and the satellite network.

According to open sources, "Kalinka" is considered an experimental new-generation system capable of operating against modern satellite communication channels. The "Volna Kupol Garant" complex, in turn, is focused on creating controlled zones of electronic warfare.

The development of these technologies shows that the struggle for supremacy in the field of communication is gradually extending beyond conventional terrestrial networks. Satellite internet is becoming a separate area of confrontation, where not only the spacecraft themselves, but also electronic warfare means targeting their infrastructure, are beginning to play a key role.
