The editors of \"First Technical\" have been following the tradition for several weeks now. There is a long weekend ahead, and this is a great reason to watch a wonderful movie! This week we want to recommend something special to you: the exciting disaster film \"Fire\" by director Alexei Nuzhny. The large-scale domestic production will immerse you in the intense work of the Russian air fire services. Filming took place from May to September 2019, and it was released in Russia on December 24, 2020. The main roles are played by Russian movie stars: Konstantin Khabensky, Ivan Yankovsky, Viktor Dobronravov, Roman Kurtsyn and other talented actors.
Where was the movie filmed
Filming took place in different regions: in the Republic of Karelia (forest landscapes), the Moscow region, Taganrog (Rostov region), Vsevolozhsk and the Vladimir region.
Producers and the film crew also involved specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Avialesookhrana: employees of these departments advised the film crew and ensured safety on land, on water and in the air. The film also includes real footage of large-scale fires (including from the Krasnoyarsk Territory).
Technical roles
One of the distinguishing features of the production is the major role of aviation. Real aviation equipment was presented for filming: the Avialesookhrana An-2 aircraft, Mi-8 helicopters, Il-62 and An-26 passenger aircraft and, which is especially noticeable in the frame, the Be-200 multi-purpose fire-fighting aircraft.
Scenes with the use of fire aviation were filmed simultaneously with several cameras - in one episode, a bundle of six cameras was used, capturing the flight and water discharge from different angles. In addition, real parachute firefighters participated in the filming. All this required close coordination with Avialesookhrana and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Key dynamic scenes (flights of aircraft, water discharges, rescue maneuvers) were filmed simultaneously from several cameras: ground \"static\" and mobile, as well as from board helicopters and special aviation platforms. Six cameras were used simultaneously for the scene with the participation of the Be-200, which made it possible to smoothly switch between a panoramic view of the aircraft, close-ups of dripping water and people's reactions on the ground during editing. Working with aviation cameras required separate coordination with pilots and the flight director.
Movie budget
The production budget of the film is estimated at approximately 550 million rubles, and box office receipts amounted to approximately 926.8 million rubles, which made the film commercially successful for the Russian film distribution in 2020-2021.
The film \"Fire\" showed that even for domestic film production, large-scale action projects with the participation of real aviation and fire services are possible.
Earlierwww1.ru recommended watchinga film about dizzying flights, exciting air battles and deep human drama - \"Hugging the Sky\".
