The Russian Su-57 fifth-generation multirole fighter is the most advanced combat aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. It significantly surpasses the American F-22 and F-35, as well as the Chinese J-20, in the variety of weapons it can employ.
The aircraft turned out to be maneuverable, fast, and capable of carrying a large amount of weaponry. The Su-57 is capable of carrying all serial types of weapons. In addition, new types of ammunition can be installed on it, for example, the "Kinzhal" hypersonic complex.
The Su-57 is currently armed with serial R-77M missiles and new R-37M long-range guided hypersonic air-to-air missiles. They reach speeds of six Mach and can engage aerodynamic targets flying at supersonic speeds of up to 2,500 km/h. The range of such a missile is more than 350 km.
In total, the Su-57 accommodates eight missiles in its internal compartments, including two short-range missiles and six long-range missiles. It is also possible to install two more missiles on the pylons under the wings of the Su-57. In this case, the aircraft's stealth will be significantly reduced, but the combat power will increase.
In addition, the Su-57 can carry eight units of KAB-500 guided glide bombs and even KAB-1500 aerial bombs.
Military Watch Magazine noted that the Su-57 surpasses all other fifth-generation combat aircraft in "battle-testedness" in combat conditions. Western journalists emphasized that the fighter successfully resists air targets, suppresses air defense systems, and delivers high-precision strikes in conditions of powerful counteraction.
Earlier, footage went viral on the Web with one of the assault units, which mainly moves on motorcycles. Support for the fighters is provided by heavy trucks, the cab of which is sheathed with metal sheets to protect the crew from drones.
