India will not be able to sell Il-114-300 and SJ-100 aircraft to third countries if assembly is localized on its territory. This prohibition was stipulated in advance in the agreement between the parties, said Gennady Abramenkov, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to him, the Indian side will receive only a part of the technological and design documentation, which will be determined by the license agreement.
But without our consent, it will be impossible to sell the aircraft; this is stipulated by the terms of the agreement. Negotiations on such assembly are ongoing.
At the same time, back in June, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov admitted that the start of Il-114-300 production in India was being hampered by the lack of commercial operation.
The turboprop airliner received a type certificate, but with restrictions — it cannot fly in conditions of severe icing, at temperatures below -9 and above +25 degrees, or land on wet runways.
At the same time, even current Russian pilots doubt the effectiveness of the Il-114-300 due to the low position of the TV7-117ST-01 engines. But this problem has already begun to be addressed.
