From September 1, 2026, banks and microfinance organizations will begin reporting to the FSSP on how they recover overdue debts. The new obligation is enshrined in federal law and concerns working with client debt.

Reports will need to be submitted electronically through the interdepartmental exchange system, or on paper if such an option is not available.

The form of documents, deadlines, and frequency of submission will be determined by the FSSP in agreement with the Bank of Russia. This means that unified reporting rules for banks and MFOs will be established separately.

Previously, only professional collection agencies were required to submit such reports. Now, control will be extended to those who issue loans and credits themselves.
