The first deliveries of the regional aircraft Il-114-300 have begun in Russia. This was announced on August 12 by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov at a session in the National Center "Russia".
The creation of a modern civil aviation fleet is of key importance here. Today this program is moving into a practical phase.
The Il-114-300 became the first aircraft from the new line of domestic civil aviation that transitioned from certification to deliveries. The aircraft received its type certificate in June 2026. At the same time, leasing agreements were signed for the first three aircraft for the 2nd Arkhangelsk Air Detachment.
The aircraft is designed to carry up to 66 passengers and is primarily intended for regional routes. Its design allows it to be operated in areas with poor airfield infrastructure and on short runways. OAK estimates the potential production volume of the Il-114-300 at 6–12 aircraft per year, depending on demand.
At the same time, Russia is moving to the next stage of the civil aviation program. According to Manturov, production of the updated Tu-214 is already underway, and MC-21 and Superjet are nearing completion of testing and certification. As a result, a line of aircraft for different types of routes – from regional to medium-haul – should be formed.
