Gasoline of the old environmental class is officially entering exchange trading. The St. Petersburg exchange will start trading "Euro-3" class fuel (which was banned since 2015) from August 13. This follows from the trading platform's data.

Three fuel brands have been included in the list of exchange-traded goods: AI-92-K3, AI-95-K3, and AI-98-K3. This gasoline can also be sold in the small wholesale trade segment.

In early August, the government allowed the import, production, and sale of Euro-2, Euro-3, and Euro-4 class gasoline in Russia until July 1, 2027. The Ministry of Energy stated that the measure should increase fuel supply in the domestic market and reduce the risk of disruptions.

The decision is temporary and does not mean a revision of long-term requirements for the environmental characteristics of fuel, the ministry emphasized. Filling stations will be required to display information about the environmental class of the gasoline sold in an accessible and clear manner.
