Russian Molniya-2 aircraft-type attack drones have been equipped with an evasion system against anti-aircraft drones. The technology helps crews work more effectively in conditions of interceptor attacks.

Footage appeared online showing how the Molniya, after an interceptor approached it from the stern, began to actively maneuver to evade destruction.

How exactly the evasion system works is still unknown. But it can be assumed that the Molniya was equipped with an additional rear camera, the data from which is processed by an onboard processor.

In such tasks, wide-angle lenses are mainly used. The auto-capture algorithm was trained to recognize rapidly approaching silhouettes of enemy quadcopters against the sky.

The built-in autopilot mode allows the drone to continue flying and perform its task even when attempts are made to jam communications. A solution was also found for kinetic interceptors, and crews begin to actively maneuver.
