First glass factory in the Far East to be built in Khabarovsk Krai: capacity of 250 million products per year

Production will start with waste processing and eco-pallet manufacturing, then scale to industrial volumes

The first glass factory in the Far East will appear in Khabarovsk Krai. An agreement for its construction was signed by the regional governor Dmitry Demeshin and the general director of "Sibirskoe Steklo" Anton Mor at the SPIEF venue. As the head of the region reported in "Max", the projected capacity of the enterprise will be 250 million glass products per year, which will fully cover the needs of manufacturers throughout the federal district.

The project is divided into two stages. The first is the construction of a production complex with lines for processing glass waste and secondary polymers. Eco-pallets will be produced from recycled plastic.

The second stage is the construction of the glass factory itself. This scheme allows the enterprise to be initially integrated into a closed-loop economy: glass and difficult-to-decompose plastic will no longer be sent to landfills and will enter secondary circulation.

For the region, which currently has no glass production of its own, this means eliminating dependence on expensive supplies from central Russia and China.

At the forum, Khabarovsk Krai concluded two more infrastructure agreements. With GC "Rosvodokanal" and JSC "Polymetal", an agreement was reached on the construction of unique wastewater treatment facilities for the region in Sovetskaya Gavan, capable of receiving both industrial and domestic wastewater. And with "Poliplastik" company – on laying more than 40 kilometers of water supply and sanitation networks in Khabarovsk and Khabarovsk District.
