The adjusted net loss of the Aeroflot group under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from January to March 2026 amounted to 8.8 billion rubles, compared to a loss of 3.4 billion rubles a year earlier.
At the same time, the company's revenue grew by 5.7% and reached 201.1 billion rubles.
Earlier it became known that Aeroflot's expenses for maintaining its fleet of aircraft and engines in airworthy condition in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 7.27 billion rubles. This is 2.2 times more than in the same period of 2025.
The group operates a mixed fleet, which includes both Airbus aircraft of the A320, A330, and A350 families, and Boeing — models 737-800 and 777.
The company plans to purchase 200 MC-21s by 2033. "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" took out a calculator and calculated what pace PAO "Yakovlev" needs to achieve to meet such demand.
Meanwhile, the MC-21 has already completed about 30% of its flight test program, said Rosaviatsiya head Dmitry Yadrov. For comparison, the SJ-100 is at 70% readiness. However, in the case of the MC-21, the aircraft became a completely new platform, while the "Superjet" was an already proven liner even before import substitution.
